Faster Drive: Cannot Browse Folder with Thousands of Files

Issue

You have a folder on Faster Drive that contains thousands of files, and you are not able to browse to it. When you try to, you receive an error that reads: "Windows can't access this disc The disc might be corrupt. Make sure that the disc uses a format that Windows recognizes. If the disc is unformatted, you need to format it before using it."

Cause

Windows has an internal setting that limits the number of files you can see on certain types of remote drives (specifically, WebDav connected drives like FasterDrive).

Resolution

This step should only be performed by an IT Professional Open RegEdit.exe and navigate to: Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\WebClient\Parameters Edit "FileAttributesLimitInBytes" and set its value to be at least 1400000. Restart your computer. You will now be able to browse the indicated folder.
