Outlook Organization: Emails in the legacy AlphaDrive folder disappeared

Modified on Mon, 1 May, 2023 at 6:20 AM

Issue:

After updating to the latest version of Faster Suite, all of the folders in Outlook under "AlphaDrive" are empty.

Explanation:

In Faster Suite versions later than 19.09.xx, we have retired the AlphaDrive folder and replaced it with a new folder called (Faster Suite).  All emails previously stored in the AlphaDrive folder will be automatically moved into the new (Faster Suite) folder upon launching the program the first time and all emails preserved after updating will be moved to the new folder as well.

Resolution:

In most cases, nothing will need to be done to resolve this as all emails are automatically moved to the new folder.  Users can verify that the AlphaDrive folder is empty and then delete it from Outlook.

In some cases, emails may be archived to the Microsoft Exchange Server.  When this happens, Faster Mail will not be able to automatically detect and move the emails to the new (Faster Suite) folder.   In cases such as this, all emails will need to be manually moved to the new folder by clicking the link to view emails from the Exchange Server, then drag and dropping them into the corresponding (Faster Suite) folder.  Once all emails are moved, users can safely delete the AlphaDrive folder.
