Adobe: Error message stating "The File may be read-only, or another user may have it open. Please save the document with a different name or in a different folder."

ISSUE


Users have reported receiving an error message similar to the one below resulting in inability to save Adobe PDF files to the Clio Cloud Drive. This is not a Faster Suite error rather an issue with Windows File Explorer. 



RESOLUTION


Deactivate the preview pane in Windows File Explorer. To deactivate the preview pane perform the following steps:

  1. Open Windows File Explorer
  2. Navigate to "View" tab
  3. Click the "Preview Pane" button so that it is no longer highlighted and you cannot see previews.
