When you use a web app like Clio, there is only one copy of the app and all customers have different permissions that let them access their specific data. Most web apps run this way, however, Pacer does not. Each district runs their own version of Pacer that they have customized for themselves. This means that one district may be using "Pacer 2019 with no customizations" while another district may be using "Pacer 2015 with tons of customizations."
Because there is no single Pacer system and each Pacer system is slightly different, Faster Pacer has to do a lot of work to try to read and adapt to each district's customized Pacer system. Because of all the variants, we don't always get it right.
We make improvements to Faster Pacer periodically. If you're running into a situation where documents do not seem to be downloading correctly and you want to help us adapt Faster Pacer for your district, please do the following:
1. Please add "help@FasterLaw.com" as a recipient email in your Pacer system. This will cause help@FasterLaw.com to receive copies of all the pacer emails you receive.
2. Once you've done #1, when documents aren't downloaded correctly, let us know the case information and docket/document/filing number. We'll investigate and make the appropriate changes.
