Creating a Place to Store Shared Files

Not all of your firm’s documents are related to clients and matters, so let’s create a place in Faster Drive to store non client related files.

1. Create a Firm Client

First, we’ll create a new contact in Clio.  We can name it after our firm or give it any other name to indicate that it’s for firm files.  We recommend putting the name in parentheses so that Windows will organize the folder at the top when sorting alphabetically.

2. Create Matters

Let’s create a new matter for this client.  We can create different matters to store different types of files like administrative files, payroll files, templates, or anything else we can think of.

Now, after doing a quick refresh of Faster Suite or waiting 60 seconds, we’ll find our new folders in Faster Drive and can begin saving files to them.
