Using Outlook to Manage Other Email Accounts

Faster Mail is designed to work only with the installed version of Microsoft Outlook.  This is because a lot of the things that Faster Mail does wouldn’t be possible through a web based email platform like Gmail.  If you’re using Gmail or another web based platform, don’t worry!  It’s really easy to link your email account to Outlook.

Connecting to Outlook

We can start by opening Outlook.  If this is our first time opening Outlook, we’ll be prompted to link an email account.  If not, we can go to File in the top left, then click the Add Account button.

Now we’ll just enter the email address we would like to link.  Outlook will look for the account and we will be prompted  to log in through our email provider.  We may be prompted by our email provider to allow Outlook to access our account, we can just allow this.

Once the account is linked we’ll receive a notification that the account was successfully added and, we can just click Done.

Syncing Emails and Folders

After setting up our account with Outlook for the first time, it may take a little bit to sync all of our mail and folders, but once the sync is complete we can begin using Outlook with Faster Mail.
