Sending Emails through Faster Suite

Let’s learn how to compose a new email directly from the Faster Ribbon.  This can be useful if you find it tedious to copy a bunch of email addresses from a matter in Clio to a new email.

Creating a New Email

First we’ll go to Mail on the Faster Ribbon and click the Email button.

This window is broken into three panels.  In the top left, we can optionally type a subject and a message for our new email, and on the bottom we can select what matter this email is related to.

Once we’ve selected a matter, we’ll notice that the top right panel populates in any email addresses that are connected to contacts related to the matter we selected.  We can just choose which recipient field to add each email address to and click OK to have the email created using Outlook.

Editing the Email

In the new email, we’ll see all of the addresses we selected populate into the recipient fields we selected for them.  We’ll also see that our subject line includes a CMID number at the end.  This is Clio’s internal Matter ID Number and is included to tell Faster Mail what matter the email is related to.
