Monday, October 16, 2023 - Clio Slowness

Clio has been experiencing longer than usual latency intermittently for the last couple weeks since the outage reported on Clio's status page on October 3rd. Since that date Clio reports 100% uptime, but the line graph indicating page response times shows latency spikes as much as 19,000% longer than usual. Typical page response times for Clio are ~42 milliseconds. The status page reports a period on 10/12/2023 with a response time of ~8,000 milliseconds. The graphic below is a screenshot of Clio's status page. The average response time (circled in green) is higher than usual. The 8,000 millisecond spike is also indicated below.




Faster Suite exclusively users Clio's servers to provide service. As a result, we are directly impacted by service degradations like we've been experiencing over the last several days.

Faster Suite experienced Clio connectivity issues as Clio applied some updates. As of March 5, 2021 Clio has resolved this issue.


Monday, January 25, 2021 - Clio Slowness


Clio experienced a slowness issue. This interfered with Faster Suite's ability to run properly. As of January 26, 2021 Clio has resolved this issue.

Friday, March 6, 2020 - Upcoming Clio Maintenance


Clio will be performing scheduled maintenance starting on Friday, March 6 at 7PM PST. During the maintenance, Clio, Faster Suite, and other integrations will not be available.


Tuesday - March 3, 2020 - Clio Bug: Data Not Refreshing


Clio Ticket #872327There appears to be a recent bug in Clio that is causing Faster Suite to not pull in the latest data from Clio. This means that when one user makes changes in Clio, you may not see those changes. Single-clicking the "Refresh" button does not pull in the changes either.


TEMPORARY WORKAROUNDIf you double-click the "Refresh" button, Faster Suite will preform a "Slow" refresh. This process takes longer than the single-click "Quick" refresh but it will work around the Clio bug. When doing a slow refresh, you may not see the changes until the refresh arrow finishes spinning.


Once Clio resolves the issue, data will begin refreshing normally and the slow refresh will no longer be necessary.


Wednesday, February 12, 2020 - Communications being saved with the wrong date

Clio is aware of a bug that is affecting time stamps for certain entries. Because of this bug, communications saved using Faster Mail may show up in Clio with dates that are one day off.


Update 2/13/20

Clio has notified us that they currently don't have an ETA on a resolution for this bug. More information will be added here as it becomes available.


Resolution

Faster Suite versions 20.02.13 have been updated to work around this issue.


Monday, February 10, 2020 - Clio matters not associating to events

Clio has confirmed that they have identified a bug that is causing a 400 error when associating matters with events. This appears to be limited to the Clio calendar, but may affect other parts of Clio as well.


This issue will primary affect actions taken in Clio, but Faster Suite users may encounter problems as well. The most likely potential issue users may see is actions "hanging" when associating emails or other items to matters, but users may see other problems in Faster Suite until Clio resolves this bug.


Thursday, January 31, 2019 - New items not appearing


Clio is currently experiencing technical difficulties which may impact AlphaDrive. Clio's engineers are working to resolve the issue. As soon as the issue is resolved, we will post an update. For more information, please see this Clio KB article or contact Clio and reference Ticket # 654704.


As a result of the issue, you may see one of the following symptoms:

* Items recently added by other users or through Clio do not appear in AlphaDrive

* AlphaDrive appears to 'refresh' indefinitely without discovering new items.


Thursday, November 1, 2018 - Faster Mail


We've had a handful of clients who have called about the Outlook email preservation prompt not triggering when sending or receiving emails. We've investigated this issue and in all cases it has been the result of an incomplete Microsoft Office update.


To Resolve the update, open Outlook and choose File > Office Account and choose the option to download and install updates. Once the updates are installed, use AlphaDrive's Mail > Repair Outlook Connection tool and then restart your computer.
