Faster Time: Configuring Time Tracking for Custom Applications

Custom Application Tracking

Some applications are not included in the default list of applications tracked by Faster Time.  By following the instructions below, you can easily add any application that you use to be tracked by the Time Tracker.


Adding Custom Applications

To add Custom Applications to Faster Time:


  • Click Settings > Revenue Generation > Time Recovery





Under "Other Applications" click the settings wheel on the "Other Processes" option. You will now see this window:




In this window is where you will actually select the application that you want Faster Time to track. There are 2 drop down fields, the first is to tell Faster Time to only track the applications that we select. This should be set to “Only the applications below should be tracked”. The second, tells Faster Time how to aggregate the time it tracks. There are 2 options: “By Process ID” and “By Window Title”.
  • “By Process ID” will aggregate activities by the name of the selected application.
  • “By Window Title” will aggregate activities by the title displayed on the window of the application.

Selecting Applications

Once you have selected your drop down options you are ready to search for your desired application.




  • Click the “{…}” button to display a list of applications on your computer
  • Select the application you want to track by clicking the green addition symbol, or double-clicking the application
  • The selected application will now be displayed in the applications field
