Is the Faster Suite Browser Link installed and enabled?
First, make sure that these blue boxes with the white F are showing next to your documents in Clio.
If the 'F's are not displayed then either the browser extension is not installed or it is not enabled in your browser.
To check if it's installed, click on the ... menu of your browser in the upper right corner and select Extensions>Manage Extensions
If you see it listed here, the extension is installed. In the image below it is installed, but not enabled. Click the switch to the right to enable the extension.
It will look like this when it is installed and enabled
Return to the document tab in Clio and refresh the page by using the refresh button in your browser. The 'F's should appear and you should be able to open a document.
Installing the Faster Suite Browser Link extension
In the event the extension is not installed, follow these steps.
On the Faster Suite ribbon click Faster Suite>Settings
Click Cloud Drive on the right and then Browser Link across the top (green arrows).
While you're on this screen, ensure that the two check boxes indicated above with the green box are both checked.
Click Google Chrome as shown in the above image next to the red arrow. The same extension is used for both Edge and Chrome.
Click Get
Return to Clio and refresh the page using your browsers refresh button.
It's installed, but not working
If the Faster Suite Browser Link extension is installed and enabled, but you're unable to open documents from Clio, follow these steps to remove and reinstall the extension.
Click the ... menu of your browser then Extensions>Manage extensions
Click Remove
Ensure it is removed from all browsers you have installed on your computer, even if you normally don't use the other browsers. The steps to remove it is similar in both Edge and Chrome.
Follow the steps in the Restarting Faster Suite article to complete restart Faster Suite.
On the Faster Suite ribbon, click Faster Suite>Settings
On the left click Cloud Drive then across the top click Browser Link. Click Google Chrome (red arrow below).
Click Get
Return to Clio and test again. If you are still experiencing problems, schedule a support call so we can assist you further.
