"COM Addins" are components that add features to Microsoft Office products. However, sometimes a specific addin may cause issues and need to be disabled.
To disable a COM addin, follow the instructions below.
1. Launch the "COM Add-ins" Dialog
To launch the "COM Add-ins" dialog, at the top of Outlook, in the "Tell me what you want to do" search box, type "Com". The list will populate and then you should click on "COM Add-ins".
2. Disable faulty/unnecessary add-ins
Next, uncheck any faulty or unnecessary add-ins that you wish to disable. Once you have done that, Click "OK"
NOTE
Depending on the add-ins that you are disabling, you may need to exit and re-launch Outlook in order for the changes to fully take effect.
