Faster Snippets: Turn it Off

You're Misconfigured!
The #1 reason people want to disable Faster Snippets is because their Clio account is misconfigured.

Ensure You're Configured Properly

By default, Faster Snippets will automatically use the snippets that you have configured in Clio.  You can configure and edit your Clio snippets by going to Settings > Text Snippets.

Some people have their Clio snippets configured with "Whole Word = No" as in the following screen shot:

When this happens, typing something like "ach" will immediate expand into "Attend court hearing" which is, more than likely, not what you want to happen.  To fix this issue, simply edit your Clio snippet and set Whole Word = True.  Once that change is made, you will have to type "ach" followed by a space in order to trigger the expansion.

Disable Faster Snippets

If you don't want to do the above steps, there are two options you have have for disabling Faster Snippets: you can either disable it completely or you can just disable it from importing your Clio snippets.  To make these changes, from the Faster Suite ribbon, select Faster Suite > Settings and then select "Text Snippets" from the left as shown below:

From this area, to completely disable the feature, you can uncheck "Enable Faster Snippets" or to just disable the snippets imported from Clio, uncheck "Use my Clio text snippets... "
