Related Activities in Faster Time

The Faster Time Work Report can get pretty intimidating if we work on a lot of different things. We’ve learned how to sort and filter the work report to make it more manageable, but now let’s take a look at how Faster Time will suggest related activities to the things we’re billing. We’ll go to New on the Faster Ribbon, then select Activity Tracking to launch the Work Report.

Getting Suggestions

If we add one or more activities to the batch panel by clicking on them, we’ll see the Related Activities panel appear at the bottom. Faster Time will look at the activities we’re currently billing and make suggestions of other activities in the Work Report that it thinks may be related.

The related activities panel can be really helpful for finding emails that we forgot to preserve using Faster Mail, since those emails may show up under unknown instead of related to a matter. If the subject contains information that’s similar to other activities we’ve worked on, they should show up in the related activities panel.

Adding Related Activities to a Batch

We can click any activities that are related to add them to our batch, but these are just suggestions and some activities may not actually be related. If that’s the case, we can grab just what we want and ignore anything else.
