The Share Tool for Documents
Faster Suite has a built in document sharing tool that allows you to send links to documents to other users of Faster Suite at your firm instead of sending attachments.
Why not use email?
This process is superior to attachment sharing because any changes that anyone makes to the document using the Share tool will be available to anyone else that opens the document afterwards, both from the link and from Clio or Faster Drive.
Sharing a Document
To share something, we can simply drag the document, group of documents, or folders to the Documents menu in the Faster Ribbon, then to the Share button.
We’ll receive a message that a link has been copied to our clipboard and we can then paste the link into any form of communication, such as an email, chat program or even the address bar in our web browser.
Opening a Shared Document
Recipients can just click the link to open the document directly from Clio.
Keep in mind that this tool is only for sharing documents internally with other members of your firm and the recipient of the link must be running Faster Suite. To share documents with clients or anyone else outside the firm, we recommend using Clio Connect.
