Faster Lawcademy: Video Tutorial 2.3.3

The following is a video tutorial.  For the best experience, click the "Full Screen" button while watching this video.

The Compare Tool for Documents

Clio maintains a backup of all previous versions of every document you store in their cloud.  Using Faster Suite, we can easily view previous versions of a document and even compare two different versions of the same document to see who made what changes and when.

First, let’s drag a document from Faster Drive up to the documents menu, then to the Compare button to open the Document Compare window.

Viewing a Specific Version

Clicking on either version drop-down will display how many different versions of this document have been saved, who saved them, and when.  We can click the blue arrow next to each document version to open that specific version of this document.

Comparing Two Versions

If we’d like to compare two different versions of this document side by side, we can select two different versions with the drop-down menus, then click compare or compare and close.

Microsoft Word will open with both documents shown, a redline between the documents, and a list of revisions on the left.

Keep in mind we’re only comparing two versions, so if multiple people made multiple revisions to the document between these two versions, all of the changes from all of those versions will appear.
